Twenty-six years ago, I was lucky enough to be raised in Hobart, Oklahoma, home to numerous production livestock operations nestled deep in the heart of wheat country.  This is where my educational journey began. As a wild-haired, bright-eyed child, I dove into any opportunity to learn about the industry—whether that was riding the tractor or working cattle with dad.

My desire to learn about the industry I loved led me to the agricultural communication and animal science program at Oklahoma State University. The scientific characteristics of animal science fueled my academic curiosity, but the freedom to create in agricultural communication allowed me to grow in ways I never thought possible—both professionally and personally. I decided to pursue a graduate degree in agricultural communications at Texas Tech University in order to hone in and sharpen my craft with a scientific focus on creativity and its role in agricultural communications. I graduated in December 2016.

My current role is in outside sales with an animal pharmaceutical company. While this position couldn’t be further from marketing and media, I have the opportunity to interact and elevate cattle producers and veterinarians every day across the Oklahoma, which has had tremendous impact on my business and widened my view of agricultural media.

ART DIRECTION

As I immersed myself in graphic design and photography, I became obsessed with the idea of telling a story with my images and creative content. Out of this love for aesthetic design, my enthusiasm for structure and minimalism emerged. It is my resolute belief simple compositions hold weight and are powerful and is evident in all aspects of my work.
